  • As a seasoned documentary producer and development executive, I offer consulting services to help filmmakers navigate funding, festivals, and network sales. With experience working with major platforms like Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, and PBS, I provide trusted advice from concept to pitch. I specialize in creating compelling pitch materials—decks, sizzles, and presentations—that resonate with buyers and showcase a project's potential. Whether you're in early development or preparing to pitch, I help craft strategies and materials to maximize success in a competitive market.

  • Have an idea that you need help fleshing out? Have a project that you want to finance, but don’t have the right materials to do so? I will work with you to create materials such as one-sheets, decks, and sizzle reels. Whether commenting on and sharpening already created materials or starting from scratch, I will guide you in forming sales materials that will entice buyers, grantors, and financiers.

  • I specialize in helping documentary filmmakers and creators of non-fiction content navigate the complex world of project financing and planning. Whether you’re looking to secure network or streaming deals, pursue film festival opportunities, self-finance, apply for grants, or attract brand sponsorships, I offer personalized guidance to craft a tailored strategy that aligns with your vision. With access to an extensive network of industry professionals, I can help you build a comprehensive financing plan, and, if desired, support you in executing that plan to bring your project to life. Let’s turn your documentary idea into a reality—both creatively and financially.

  • I can help you create a detailed production plan and budget tailored to your project's unique needs, ensuring every aspect is covered, from pre-production to post. Additionally, I offer expert feedback on existing production plans, providing valuable insights to optimize efficiency and ensure your project runs smoothly. Whether you're just starting out or refining an existing plan, I’m here to help you navigate the planning process with confidence and clarity.

  • Navigating the world of PBS can be a daunting task—though it's an iconic and rewarding platform for non-fiction content, the system is complex and often difficult to navigate. Beginning with figuring out whether to approach a specific local station or the national entity, the process can be unclear and overwhelming. With my experience as the Director of National Content at TPT (Twin Cities PBS), the fourth-largest PBS station in the U.S., I’ve successfully navigated these challenges and helped many creators find the right path. I can guide you through the intricacies of PBS, helping you connect with the right stations, entities, and decision-makers to get your project the attention it deserves.

About Me

I’m an Emmy-nominated documentary producer and development executive with extensive experience in crafting and producing compelling content for leading networks and streamers, including Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, National Geographic, CNN, and PBS. As Director of Development for National Production at TPT, one of PBS’ largest stations, I oversaw the development of American Outdoors with Baratunde Thurston and its accompanying digital series. Before that, I played a key role on the development team at Part2 Pictures, where I helped develop and sell Emmy-nominated series like Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi (Hulu), Age of Influence (Hulu), Get Smart with Money (Netflix), and Take Out with Lisa Ling (HBO Max).

I specialize in both producing and developing projects, as well as in storytelling and writing. Throughout my career, I’ve honed my ability to create strong narratives that resonate with audiences while understanding the strategic business elements that drive successful projects. I began my career as a researcher and associate producer on PBS’ Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr., where I learned the importance of making content that is both engaging and culturally impactful. With a Master’s in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, I bring a well-rounded approach to all of my work, blending creative vision with a deep understanding of the industry.
